Sinigang is a popular Filipino dish characterized by its sour and savory broth, usually made using unripe tamarind or sampalok. It can be prepared with pork, hipon (shrimp), fish (bangus belly or maya-maya head).
Other sinigang variations are: sinigang sa bayabas (guava), sinigang sa miso, and sinigang sa kamyas (bilimbi).
