Let us pray…

Death on the Skyway.
Robbery at the mall.
A father carrying
his dead child, wandering.
Typhoon survivors
still going hungry?
Corruption in government,
Now, driving people angry.

Each morning we struggle
To come to terms with these troubles.
How can we be merry
With these things that make us weary?

I don’t know.
I don’t know.
Yes, I know.
Genuflect. Reflect.
Dear God,
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those
who sinned against us.
Do not bring us further to the test
but deliver us from ourselves.
For we humans tend to forget
to trust in You with all of our hearts
and stop leaning
on our own understanding.
You won’t give us what we can’t bear, I know
Take us out of this dark times, dear Lord
We don’t want to be here…

AMEN.

About Seeing with Brahmin eyes
My sense of humor can be keen, sarcastic, silly or corny -- sometimes all at once. I enjoy meeting new people with no preconceived ideas about what or what is not possible. You get much more out of life by being open minded and willing. I'm an easy going, good-natured person who loves life and loves people. I'm both optimistic and realistic and pretty objective when it comes to assessing situations, events, etc. In general I am a very positive person and you'll usually find we with a smile on my face.
