It ended the way it started — QUICK

It happened so quickly I didn’t know what hit me. One minute I was drowning in affectionate embrace — cheek to cheek with this gorgeous woman, her angelic smile revealing a nice set of teeth enveloped by glittering braces — then in a flash, I was standing there, drenched in the torrential rain, watching the rear lights of her car vanish. It’s true, I did have my wits intact still — despite the nauseating pain, but that did not deter me from still being mesmerized by her smile, now just a distant replica of her image stored in the deep recesses of my mind.

You don’t always realize it right away when the wind of change suddenly swings around on you.

A number of life’s big changes are sudden and sometimes cathartic… well at times, catastrophic. But more often, it seems to me, our journey shifts imperceptibly, a strengthening crosswind gradually changing our course.

Manta rays above us
In the open sea
I wonder if you think of me.

Now we’re swimming deeper
Nothing’s as it seems
Creatures sailing silently.

Or so I’ve dreamed
Since I met you
I’ve been hollowed by your body
I’ve been hypnotized by all you are.

All I want
is to know your name
and whisper it in your ear
With your arms around my neck.

You’ve haunted me in colors
I’ve never seen
I feel strange and unprotected.
But I’m weightless
like I’m falling on the moon.

I’m falling slow for you…

About Seeing with Brahmin eyes
My sense of humor can be keen, sarcastic, silly or corny -- sometimes all at once. I enjoy meeting new people with no preconceived ideas about what or what is not possible. You get much more out of life by being open minded and willing. I'm an easy going, good-natured person who loves life and loves people. I'm both optimistic and realistic and pretty objective when it comes to assessing situations, events, etc. In general I am a very positive person and you'll usually find we with a smile on my face.
